Tickets on Sale for "PHANTOM of the OP'RY"

Barn Players, Inc. of Miles City is proud to present “The Phantom of the Op’ry” on the CCDHS Auditorium stage. Four opportunities to catch the comedy and music: Friday, August 17th at 7:00pm; Saturday, August 18th at 2:00pm and 7:00pm; and Sunday, August 19th at 2:00pm.

Think you know Gaston Leroux’s famous mystery, or Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Broadway adaptation? Think again!

Welcome to the Skunk Creek Op’ry House in Skunk Creek, Nevada; famous for its opera and entertainment. After some bad reviews, Minerva wants to sell her beloved Op’ry House. Even with the presence of a mysterious Phantom, the sale goes through with new blood and entertainment coming to Skunk Creek. Beautiful songbird Christine hopes to dazzle the world with her “too good to be true” voice, La Barracuda intends to keep the stage all to herself, Lt. Good brings his love and a military mind, a wayward rat catcher, a stressed out stage manager, too many rats, giggling chorus girls, helicopter stage moms, multiplying dead bodies, finicky patrons, and a crashing chandelier ensure that an evening spent at the Skunk Creek Op’ry House is not one you will soon forget!

“Phantom”, a family-friendly parody and musical, is sure to keep Miles City patrons glued to their seats. Barn veteran director, Hannah Nash, brings another romping musical to the stage, following up the Fall barn-burner “Way Out West in a Dress”. The Barn Players are pleased to announce their Holiday Production (November 30th-December 2nd), the classic “It’s a Wonderful Life”, directed by Bert Pezzarossi.

Advanced tickets and reservations are strongly encouraged. For more information on the show, or to reserve your tickets, please call: (406) 951-0560.

The Barn Players are extremely thankful to the Custer County District High School faculty, staff, and administration for hosting this production. The CCDHS Auditorium is a fantastic venue for live theater in Miles City.

Phantom of the Op'ry Auditions

Barn Players, Inc. are proud to announce auditions for...

The Phantom of the Op'ry: The Musical

Tuesday, June 26th 6:00-7:00pm
Wednesday, June 27th, 6:00-7:00pm
Public Meeting Room, Miles City Public Library

21 parts are available for junior-high and up actors and actresses. Please bring a short musical piece to perform (NON-singing parts are also available); parts range from large to small.

Performance Dates: August 17-19.

"Phantom" is a musical comedy-parody with lots of opportunities for laughter, physical comedy, silly songs, fancy costumes, and much more!

Forget Broadway! Forget Paris! This musical restaging of Gaston Leroux’s famous mystery beats them all for laughs. The flaky Op’ry House is located in Skunk Creek, Nevada. There’s fun aplenty as the phantom laughingly makes a star of "too good to be true" Christine Swansong, who dreams of a musical career. But star attraction Carlotta Barracuda will stop at nothing to see that she doesn’t get it. However, the spooky phantom’s goal is to see that Christine will replace Carlotta... or else! What is the phantom’s dark secret? Will he strike again? Musical show stoppers add to the intensive spark of this show, including "I Enjoy Being a Ghoul," "Absent With Leave" and "Patrons of the Arts."

Please spread the word on auditions to anyone who might be interested. If the listed audition times do not work for you, please contact Director Hannah Nash (406-951-0560, barnplays(AT)gmail.com) and we can make alternative audition arrangements.

Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland Tickets on Sale

Tickets are now available for the Barn Players’ Spring Children's Show “Alice's Adventures in Wonderland”; four opportunities to catch the curiosity:  Friday, March 9th at 7:00pm, Saturday, March 10th at 2:00pm and 7:00pm, and Sunday, March 11th at 2:00pm at the V.A. Auditorium.

Follow Alice down the rabbit hole in this stage adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s classic children’s story. Things get curioser and curioser for Alice as she meets many strange things in Wonderland: the Caterpillar, Tweedledee and Tweedledum, Humpty Dumpty, the Walrus and the Carpenter (and Oysters!), talking flowers, and much more.

The White Queen and Red Chess Queen invite Alice to be a queen with them, but she must go on a journey through the Chess squares to find her crown. On this bizarre journey Alice joins a Caucus Race with the Dodo, Mouse, Lory and Mock Turtle; tries to have tea with the Mad Hatter, Dormouse and March Hare at a most peculiar tea party; attempts to play croquet with flamingos and hedgehogs; recites poetry; grows, shrinks, and becomes quite lost.

“Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” is appropriate for all ages, and starts the Barn Players’ Spring 2012 season with a heavy dose of Silly.

Children's shows sell out annually, so the Barn strongly encourages the public to purchase tickets as soon as possible. Please contact (406)951-0560 or
barnplays@gmail.com to purchase tickets. If anyone in your party requires special accommodations, please let us know in advance so we may make their theatre experience as comfortable as possible.
